Project brief

Our scope for this project was to create a reception and waiting area for clients, 3 main cabins for each of the partners, a conference room , open workstations for associates / junior advocates and  a  filing /xerox room with a small pantry.

A workstation area close to each cabin was required to seat junior advocates for each of the partners. A lawyers office cannot adopt a complete open office format due to the private nature of the work which requires individual spaces.

We made sure that the space is functional and meets the needs of the firm and its employees, such as providing ample storage, private meeting rooms, and workspace for each attorney.

Design approach

We created a professional and sophisticated atmosphere that reflects the image of the law firm and its brand. The space was designed to be comfortable and inviting for clients, employees, and visitors with comfortable seating, good lighting, and well-maintained facilities. We used the latest technology and equipment, such as high-speed internet, printing and scanning capabilities, and audio-visual equipment for presentations. Incorporating the firm’s branding and colors into the design to create a cohesive look and reinforce the firm’s image was very important.

Executive cabins

We converted a 2000sqft  3bhk bare shell apartment into a functional office space by maximising storage space for law books for all cabins.

Each cabin was designed for a large desk finished in veneer and polish facing East or North as per Vaastu. Evey cabin required large floor to ceiling book shelves and  seating for Client discussion.

Cabins were designed considering privacy for confidential discussions and client meetings by incorporating soundproofing, private meeting rooms, and secure document storage.

Partitions were made using plywood, laminate and toughened fixed glass to maximize visibility. We used jute blinds for all windows to add to the natural muted look.

Reception

The color scheme was intentionally kept muted with shades of wood , Grey and white to maintain a formal yet earthy atmosphere. This created a warm, inviting and comfortable feeling for both Clients and employees.

We used a fluted wooden finish on the reception table and teamed it with some custom sheesham wood cane chairs in the waiting area. The backdrop behind the reception table is highlighted by the suspended wooden framework for some simple surface fixed lighting

Conference room

This space has been designed to be used by all employees of the firm for works starting from strategy planning to host lunches for clients . The 8 seater conference table top was made in natural rubber wood finished in a clear polish. The leg supports were made of metal finished with black paint. The wifi supported room serves both for a projector or a large screen TV. The remaining walls were designed for full height book shelves.

Multipurpose Filing room / Pantry

We reused the existing kitchen platform as a pantry / Xerox machine counter. The space under the platform was used to store stationary. The wall adjacent to this was used to build a full height file storage shelf.
